Empire are pleased to welcome David Doel to the family

Empire are extremely excited to welcome international event rider David Doel to its ever increasing family! We look forward to working with him and his family.
David Doel is an established event rider who competes his string of 15 horses from his yard in Wiltshire. His ultimate aim is to win gold medals and be part of senior teams representing Great Britain, and he hopes one day to compete at the 4* event in Kentucky.

Winner of The Goldman Cup in 2014, with eleven significant wins, more than 15 further top five placings at all levels, and team Bronze at the European Young Rider Championships, David continues to prove his commitment and dedication to the sport.

His obvious talent has been recognised with his selection for the World Class Programme, which develops exceptional athletes with the potential to move onto the world stage. David represented Great Britain for two years running on Junior Teams, winning team gold and individual bronze in 2011, and for a further two years running in Europe as a Young Rider, culminating in team Silver at Jardy, Paris, in September 2013, and team Bronze at Vale Sabroso, Portugal, in 2014.

The First EMPIRE EXTREME Delivered

The First EMPIRE EXTREME Delivered

The first EMPIRE EXTREME delivered.

Empire is excited to announce a new member to its range. The all new Empire Extreme.

The EXTREME is built for the rider who wants freedom and comfort for themselves while giving an enjoyable ride for their loyal equine partners, in a package that gives them all the benefits of an Empire build but takes into consideration that there is a limit to the maximum load it can take.

Melanie Worgan, who’s daughter Lucy competes at dressage on the international pony circuit, is thrilled to have worked with Empire in developing this new level of the Empire range. They were amazed by the level of quality and standard of service they received from Empire.

We welcome them to Empire and look forward to working with them both in the future.

Empire Coachbuilders to be involved with largest equestrian venue in the South West.

Bicton Arena has announced that Empire Coachbuilders, a firm of horsebox manufacturers based in Worcestershire, are the new title sponsors of its two international horse trials next year.

The Devon venue will stage two CIC, or international, competitions in 2015, the first in April and the second in August with another affiliated event taking place in July. The new sponsorship deal means the winner of each CIC two star class will receive a substantial first prize. Arena manager Helen West said: “This is wonderful news for Bicton. We hope the considerable amount of money will encourage people to come to Devon to compete. We are absolutely delighted that such a high profile company is our new title sponsor. We are very much looking forward to working with the team at Empire Coachbuilders.”

Empire Coachbuilders are renowned among the equestrian population with several high profile riders choosing their vehicles including Australian Olympic team members Paul Tapner and Sam Griffiths and British dressage rider Michael Eilberg. Sales director James Trevatt, who used to event as an amateur, said: “Many riders compete at Bicton, including some of the top competitors in the sport and we felt it was the perfect shop window for our lorries.

“I have ridden there myself and it’s a stunning location which really lends itself to sponsorship and we are very excited about our new association.”

We are excited to welcome Newmarket vet Benoit Herinck and his show horse producer wife Mitch to Empire. Mitch who had seen an Empire Classic at top professional riders yard Piggy French was amazed by the build quality. She picked up the phone straight away and booked an appointment to see us.

Mitch who was only available on the weekend was worried that she would struggle to get to us. But it wasn’t a problem for Empire’s Sales Director James Trevatt who was happy to welcome her on a Saturday afternoon and deliver the lorry himself the following Saturday!
